After my first semester at LSU I was completely devastated. I left high school with a 4.1 GPA and I never had to study too much. After my first wave of exams I was extremely frustrated and stressed by my poor performance and ended the semester with a 1.6 GPA. I completed the CAS online workshops and realized my mistakes. I went to the CAS seminar and attended all the workshops on campus. It wasn't a change that happened over night, but the next semester I made a 3.8 and the Dean's List. I also had my TOPS back! CAS covered all the areas that I was struggling with: stress/anxiety, how to take test, etc. The CAS resources made me excited and optimistic about school again. I would advise any freshman to explore the workshops. It can make a difference on how you perform academically.
