Learning Strategies

The Learning Strategies area of the CAS motivates and empowers students to succeed academically, personally, andprofessionally through practical and efficient learning and study strategies. We teach students to develop metacognitive, higher-order critical thinking skills along with personalized and efficient learning strategies and time management skills.

The Learning Strategies Consultants offer both individual appointments and workshops to classes and campus and community organizations. Topics include effective learning strategies, stress/anxiety reduction, time management, metacognition, critical thinking, concept mapping and course specific strategies.
