Learning Strategies

The Learning Strategies area of the CAS motivates and empowers students to succeed academically, personally, and professionally through practical and efficient learning and study strategies. We teach students to develop metacognitive, higher-order, critical thinking skills that help to streamline the learning process and improve overall time management.

The Learning Strategies Consultants offer both individual appointments and workshops to classes, campus organizations, and community groups. Topics include effective learning strategies, stress/anxiety reduction, time management, metacognition, critical thinking, concept mapping and course specific strategies.
